My Country, 'Tis of Thee is and probably always will be my very favorite. I've been singing and humming it all evening and I haven't done that in a while. I love all of the Patriotic Songs because I enjoy being blessed to live in the USA and will take any chance to salute her. My son is a Sgt. in the army and he's stationed at Ft. Bliss and I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of our Armed Forces members and Veterans for the sacrifice you have made and that you are making every day to protect this great nation. I love you all!

The local Memorial Day parade in these here parts always has a marching band playing "Anchors Aweigh" and that's just a great, whaddayacall, patriotical-type song, dere!

Sure, it brings to mind half-a-dozen wacky scenes in old Looney Tunes and MGM cartoons, but that only adds to the fun!

Go ahead, try not tappin' your foot to this one!

For whatever reason, "Philadelphia Freedom" is burned into my memory as a song I remembering hearing on the car radio the day before I started kindergarten in September 1975. I can't hear it without thinking of that time.

An American Trilogy  -  Elvis

No one has ever sang The Battle Hymn of the Republic like Elvis! It still gives me chill bumps to play it.

Edit: I wanted to clarify that the song is for the ending, not the beginning. In its day, Elvis meant the song to be about unity, but the first part being Dixie would be taboo in this day and age. Just wanted to add context. There is no other version of Elvis singing only The Battle Hymn.
