I blame, among others, Jethro Tull and the venue "that night" for my tinnitus -

Did you escape it (tinnitus)?

Gail - I can blame my youth in rock and roll for a lot of things, but luckily tinnitus is not one of them! (Though my wife may beg to differ with me on that...)
