One video that I haven't seen for awhile is "Zip Gun Bop" by The Royal Crown Revue. They were a swing band that weren't as kitschy as some of the other groups. Their leader can actually sing well..."Walking Like Brando" even "Stormy Weather". Think he comes really close to Sinatra.

Have diverse taste- a CD I just got again, used to have the album and probably wore out the tracks..."Jeff Beck with The Jan Hammer Group Live" . Listen to "Darkness" driving at night with lightening in the distance...whoaaah, just awesome...both of them continue to be icons.

 We ( my wife and I) are having a unique experience. We are listening to show tunes and easy listening tunes played on a Piano. We are doing this at Old Faithful Inn (1904)  in Yellowstone National Park one of our VERY favorite places in the world. We are sitting on the 2nd floor balcony afer a day of touring the park  watching for wildlife. We did see  Bison, elk, and for the first time , one of Yellowstones wolves. ( She is now playing Moon River after finishing adelweiss (sp?) 

Needless to say we are enjoying this VERY MUCH.

Went back to an old favorite this late summer evening on the eve of  Memorial day with all of its sorrowful memories for me as we soon enter autumn.

Surely the upcoming  changing of nature's colors is a dimininution of a brilliant and vibrant color of the summer or a past event in our life.

I was in error...that should have been Antonio Carlos Jobim, not Sergio Mendes (for the CD WAVE)

Sergo Mendes however has a great one also (CD) That would be Brazil '66 (The Look Of Love, Day Tripper, Fool On The Hill, etc.)

turned on the local oldies station. they have started playing 70's and 80's songs. scary that the 80's now qualifies as oldies!
