I am listening to David Cook's new album, This Loud Morning.  It is full of amazing songs that could fit in nicely with rock classics, yet has a fresh feel.  My favorites are Circadian, Paper Heart, Fade into Me, Goodbye to the Girl, and Rapid Eye Movement.  This is a real, honest-to-goodness album with a loose theme of escaping the world's pressures in sleep.  It has a lush, romantic feel.  It also has a rousing, inspirational tune, We Believe.  Goodbye to the Girl is gorgeous, with a Journey-esque feel.  His bonus tracks are worth having, too - Let Me Fall for You and This is Not the Last Time.
