The Weight - Ringo Starr & Robbie Robertson, joined by artists from around the world.
These videos are really tough to do in this format. This one is exceptionally well produced and the talent is extraordinary. Just gonna have to put it on loop for a while!
Happy Birthday to Robbie Robertson, and thank you for such a great song! 💛 💫

From my Apple Music Library, just went to Songs and hit Shuffle. I have heard everything from The Beatles to Iron Maiden, Blackmore’s Night to Deep Purple, The Who to Celtic Thunder, Sting to Nightwish, Buddy Holly to Emmylou Harris, and more … Really nice! 😎

Three (album, 2006) - Andre Andersen, David Readman, Paul Laine
One off collaboration album project composed by Andre Andersen (Royal Hunt). His music has a classic rock feel with some progressive and metal elements woven into the mix. The Deep Purple influence is definitely there. They are one of his favorite bands. Gotta love another Purple fan! 💜

I have just discovered this group. APOCALYPTICA
It is just amazing what they can do with cellos and a drum kit. A lot of instrumentals. They started as a Metallica cover/tribute band then started writing their own stuff. For songs with vocals, they had various guest singers then I think they got a permanent one (at least for one album maybe longer).
I posted 2 links to videos on the Instrumentals thread.

Thanks @MaVolta . Been a fan a long time. They have been together since '85. First drummer was Mike Portnoy and when he left in 2010 they got Mike Mangini. Both are great. ( I mention that because a few of my friends separate their old and new music from pre 2010 and post 2010 when they are talking about their music, instead of the last couple of years. For sake of discussion and not quality.)
Duh... I didn't realize I replied to my Apocalyptica post with my Dream Theater post. My scrolling ability needs review. 😊
