The Songs About Getting Older

""Hope I die before I get old," sang 21-year-old Roger Daltrey in 1965—and 43 years later, he's still singing it. Rock 'n' roll has always been invested in a Byronic cult of blazing youth and beautiful corpses. But as tyros have turned into reunion-tour warhorses, rockers have had to come to terms with the ironies—and the indignities and the glories—of old age."

What are the songs that talk about getting older, looking back, etc?

Why do I keep getting a message saying to correct highlighted errors and review a message that doesn't exist? It can't be done.

A Little Soon to Say (Jackson Browne):

"I didn't find much wisdom
When time was on my side
Too little information
Too much time to decide
I took a couple of wrong turns
It only takes you one
To send you down a lifetime
Of wondering what you might have done"

More of a folk singer, but Mike Cross has a song called Rock 'N Rye. It's about sitting in front of a fire & drinking a toast to the past, reflecting on people, places & past actions and hoping that the memories make you a better person today.  Mike Cross was a part of my teenage & early college years - fabulous story teller who could make you laugh, think and cry all in the same performance.

This one might not be thought of as about getting older, but it is.
