Songs about Heroes or Heroines

Just trying to think up a new song topic, so maybe try this one. Think of songs about your heros or heroines. Songs may have hero in the title or lyrics (those are easy), but others may be inferred by something a person has done, or be in reference to a particular person. Be creative!

So here are my first picks to get started -

Holding Out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler

Candle in the Wind - Elton John (in reference to Marilyn Monroe and later Lady Diana)

@ripvanwinkle96: Nice Add. The members of America were all Air Force Brats. They went to USAF Central High School in Bushey, Hertfordshire, UK. Class of 1970. A friend of mine was two years behind them at the same school. She remembers watching them sit in the school's grassy areas, playing their guitars.

That must have been a real nice deployment, I would've loved it. I was in USAF 67-71, Lackland, Texas, Travis afb, SF. Calif,  Thailand. You know I came across this article and I think this guy was a real hero, check it out see what you think.

OMG, I remember hearing about him, and that he testified before Congress! I didn't recognize the name, but I do remember the story. I'm pretty sure he was mentioned in the Ken Burns documentary about the Viet Nam War because it talked about the soldiers that were trying to rescue civilians and stop the slaughter that was occuring. Truly a hero!
