Songs about Heroes or Heroines

Just trying to think up a new song topic, so maybe try this one. Think of songs about your heros or heroines. Songs may have hero in the title or lyrics (those are easy), but others may be inferred by something a person has done, or be in reference to a particular person. Be creative!

So here are my first picks to get started -

Holding Out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler

Candle in the Wind - Elton John (in reference to Marilyn Monroe and later Lady Diana)

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” - Jimi Hendrix

Papa Was A Rolling Stone:  Temptations (I arbitrarily, improperly and illegally stretched the definition of “hero” to include “anti-hero”, because I couldn’t think of anything else to post).

Hero by Enrique Iglesias. I know it’s called “Hero” but it is a very poignant yet powerful song. He has a great voice too

That’s a great song! Il Divo does a nice version of it too.
