Songs With Great Lyrics and Great Music, Too
Think of songs where the musical introduction is so great that you can't wait for the song - or maybe don't even care for the song.
Or it is so recognizable that you rush to turn the music off (I'm thinking Freebird here)
Or maybe it's a solo or musical section in the middle of the song that brings the lyrics all together.and sounds so good.
Or a long musical song ending that is amazing.
Songs with music that you just love - or songs with music that instantly identifies the song - or songs where the music is actually better than the rest of the song!

I love rock power ballads. These have music and lyrics that work really well together, almost understated compared to other music in their catalogs.
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica (great intro and guitar solo, this one)
Wind of Change - Scorpions (nice guitar work, vocals, then harmonies)
When a Blind Man Cries - Deep Purple (sad and bluesy vocals and guitar)

I'd like to suggest these songs songs where I believe the music was perfect for the lyrics and made the songs so great:
1) El Paso: Marty Robbins (the guitar work really painted the picture).
2) Bell Bottom Blues: Derek & The Dominoes (Clapton at his bluesy best).
3) Whiter Shade of Pale: Procol Harum (the music pretty much made the song).
