Oh my! I'd say it qualifies!! Interesting that I found two sets of lyrics on google search. The original version apparently caused quite a controversy when it was released. Then I found updated lyrics, thinking perhaps they reconsidered. Well, they did, and it got even worse!! Yikes!

@nyadrn - Good to see posts from you again!!  (are you watching The Voice? no thread started yet)

Interesting topic.

Have you ever listened to RAP   I would say several could qualify but depends on the culture of the listeners

@MaVolta That was creepy!

This one really bothers me, even though it might not be a MeToo thing: Under My Thumb -- The Rolling Stones

"Under my thumb
It's a squirmin' dog who's just had her day
Under my thumb
A girl who has just changed her ways
It's down to me, Yes it is

The way she does just what she's told

Down to me, the change has come
She's under my thumb
Ah, ah, say it's alright

Under my thumb
It's a Siamese cat of a girl
Under my thumb
She's the sweetest, hmmm, pet in the world
It's down to me
The way she talks when she's spoken to
Down to me, the change has come
She's under my thumb
Ah, take it easy babe Yeah

Under my thumb
Her eyes are just kept to herself
Under my thumb, well I
I can still look at someone else ..."

Seriously???

Interesting subject, for sure!

This one is from the Broadway musical, The Most Happy Fella, 1956:

Standing on the Corner (watching all the girls go by)

It probably was never noticed back in the day, but the lyrics are really creepy! (see link below)
