"Julie, Julie, Do You Love Me?"--don't know by WHOM, just excited in the 60s that someone recognized that a form of my name really existed. As for shutting this down, how about next time designing a page on which the songs could be alphabetized to avoid repetition?

Irene, good night, Irene, good night
Good night, Irene, good night, Irene
I'll get you in my dreams
Sometimes I live in the country
Sometimes I live in town
Sometimes I have a great notion
To jump in to the river and drown
Irene, good night, Irene, good night
Good night, Irene, good night, Irene
I'll get you in my dreams

We are doing nothing but repeating names previuosly posted. Perhaps it's time to draw this thread gently to a close.

I started it so I'm no trying to put it out of it's misery.

Thank you so much, covfefe, and good night!

You cannot close a topic.  They close by themselves if no one posts to them.  If someone wants to post that is no problem

Yep, I know I can't close a topic. So I was asking for the topic to be allowed to die a merciful death because it's been days since I've seen anything new. That didn't work. So now I have to figure out how to unsubscribe from the thread.

@Loulit - If you haven't yet found it, there is a gray button next to the big red Reply button at the top of the page on the left. Click the gray button and you get a dropdown menu where you can unscribe to the thread.

Your topic is getting a lot of extra hits because the link went out in one of the AARP emails. Most people don't go back and read the entries because it would take too long. It's just a way to get more people involved on the Community forums.

I like to read them too, and try to think of one that hasn't been mentioned. It's more of a brain teaser that way. Problem is, when the list gets so long, it's hard to remember. Sometimes I'll think of a song and then look back and see that I've already posted it!!  LOL

Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?
Remember how she said that
We would meet again
Some sunny day?

What has become of you?
Does anybody else in here
Feel the way I do?

@LoulitI agree. There are so many now that no one wants to take the time to go back and see if theirs has already been mentioned. It was fun though! Cat Wink N.

Oh, how could I have forgotten that too! It was in the year my boy friend went away to college. I cried so much when that came on the radio going back home.
