Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple

The casino burned to the ground and was a total loss. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The band had planned to record their next album there, but had to make do in an old hotel that was closed for the winter. I've heard them describe the experience in that deadpan British humor which is quite comical. The band never figured the song to be a hit!

I’ve Passed This Way Before: Jimmy Ruffin (David’s [in my opinion] underappreciated brother).

I’m Blowin’ Away:  Bonnie Raitt (Possibly the most depressing, heart-wrenching song ever written and sung. Read the lyrics and listen to what she does with them. If you’re ever in a great mood and for some reason want to be taken down a notch, just listen to it).
