He added a third harmony to what Crosby and Stills were singing and the rest is history. The term supergroup may have first been used to describe CSN as all three were well known artists from previous bands. However, journalists usually point to Cream as the original supergroup. CSN and Cream are usually the top two of almost every list of greatest supergroups.
