Fall  Of  The  Peacemakers   ==   Molly  Hatchet

How  many  times must  good  men  die?

How  many  tears  will  the  children  cry?

'Til  they  suffer  no  more  sadness.

Stop  the  madness.

Oh,  stop  the  madness.

Long Time Gone     Crosby, Stills & Nash   1969

Turn, turn any corner.
Hear, hear, you must hear what the people say.
You know that something is going on around here.
It surely, surely, surely won't stand the light of day...no, no.

Speak out, you got to speak out against the madness!

And it appears to be a long time

Before the dawn

But you know, the darkest hour
Is always.....just before the dawn

These poignant, penetrating lyrics always stir me. Yet the song also expresses an assurance of hope. This is one of my all-time favorite songs. Disturbingly, the lyrics seem always to be contemporary, applicable to any current events.
