Let It Be  -  The Beatles  (George)

George played six different takes for this solo. The first take went on the single. He was never satisfied with it. He did a few more takes for the album. He still wasn't happy with it. When they went back to the studio to do some clean up work, he recorded a sixth version. This is the one that Phil Spector used on the album. It is not only considered the best of the lot, but one of George's best solos, ever.

I also noticed that there is a very big difference when listening to the regular album and then to Let It Be-Naked. The sound seems very flattened on the "naked" album. It's stripped down a bit too much for this song to work, I think.
