Fear's the way we die
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry
Though the bird is on the wing
And you may not know why
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now
We shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moment's sunlight
Fading in the grass
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Everybody get together

Oh yes. This is another lovely song with an equally lovely message! Thank you.

Well.......What a great aray of inspiration...
@nyadrn I never heard of Henry Giles. So Wikipedia
here I come. Not to much on him, butvery interesting
to read. That is a great saying. I think that a song is
heard by many, and a sermon is heard by few. That
is my interpretation. BUT..Since he live and died in
the 1800's, a song was probably heard in church as
well as the sermon..... So much for my interpretation.
(lol)
"Live Like You Were Dying" Tim knew not only did
he have great hit, but a very inspirational song also.
What a powerful song to live by
"I Believe I Can Fly".. I've heard this song many times,
but I never gave it much thought, until now. I love listening
to music and reading the lyrics at the same time. I believe
this makes you stop and think about the true meaning.
And to @Epster
Hallelujah is one of my TOP TEN songs of all times. And
I have heard it my many artists. It might be one of the best
songs to do on all of those 'singing' shows.....
Thanks again for the walk down 'Memory Lane'.......

We'll be together
Together you and I..

I also heard versions by Elton John,
Anne Muray And Glen Gampbell,
And Sonny & Cher. (The song lasted
longer then there relationship. Life happens.
Could be a USA anthem........

Well @rc8149. I see you have given us some selections. Sonny and Cher. It seems like a hundred years ago that their tv show was on. Sometimes love is not enough really isn't enough to keep us together regardless of what The Captain and Tennille said.
Good coicd. Thank you

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
to bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To be better far than you are
To try when your arms are to weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To be willing to give
When there's no more to give
.......................................................
.......................................................
I just started righting some of the song
down and started singing it to my monitor.
I'm lucky the monitor didn't ask for a refund.
Thank you for listing one of the most inspirational
songs ever. I will probably be singing this in my
sleep. The dogs will be howling tonight. (LOL)

Sia's Unstoppable is on my training playlist. I listen to it during races, as well. The video depicts pretty well what I feel I've gone through in order to get into shape enough to beat male racers. Especially those on upright bikes. One gentleman contender quipped at us as we awaited the race start that he didn't know they allowed wheelchairs to race. We race in recumbent trikes, which are low to the ground, but which look nothing like wheelchairs. 3 of us on trikes beat that guy, btw. I was one of them. Thanks, Sia. 🙂
The Lyrics
All smiles, I know what it takes to fool this town
I'll do it 'til the sun goes down and all through the night time
Oh yeah, oh yeah, I'll tell you what you wanna hear
Leave my sunglasses on while I shed a tear
It's never the right time, yeah, yeah
I put my armor on, show you how strong how I am
I put my armor on, I'll show you that I am
I'm unstoppable
I'm a Porsche with no brakes
I'm invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
I'm so powerful
I don't need batteries to play
I'm so confident, yeah, I'm unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today
Break down, only alone I will cry out now
You'll never see what's hiding out
Hiding out deep down, yeah, yeah
I know, I've heard that to let your feelings show
Is the only way to make friendships grow
But I'm too afraid now, yeah, yeah
I put my armor on, show you how strong how I am
I put my armor on, I'll show you that I am
I'm unstoppable
I'm a Porsche with no brakes
I'm invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
I'm so powerful
I don't need batteries to play
I'm so confident, yeah, I'm unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today
I put my armor on, show you how strong how I am
I put my armor on, I'll show you that I am
I'm unstoppable
I'm a Porsche with no brakes
I'm invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
I'm so powerful
I don't need batteries to play
I'm so confident, yeah, I'm unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today

Paolo Nutini Iron Sky
"Iron Sky"
But the flames couldn't go much higher.
We find Gods and religions to,
To paint us with salvation.
But no one,
No nobody,
Can give you the power,
To rise over love,
And over hate,
Through this iron sky,
That's fast becoming our minds.
Over fear and into freedom.
Oh, that's life
Left dripping down the walls
Of a dream that cannot breathe
In this harsh reality
Mass confusion spoon fed to the blind
Serves now to define our cold society
From which we'll rise over love,
Over hate,
Through this iron sky,
That's fast becoming our minds.
Over fear and into freedom.
You just got to hold on!
You just got to hold on!
Ohhh ohhhh oh oh
[Sample from "The Great Dictator" (1940) movie - Charlie Chaplin:]
(To those who can hear me, I say, do not despair.
The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed,
The bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress.
The hate of men will pass, and dictators die,
And the power they took from the people will return to the people.
And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.
Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men -
Machine men with machine minds and machine hearts!
You are not machines, you are not cattle, you are men!
You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful,
To make this life a wonderful adventure
Let us use that power!
Let us all unite!)
And we'll rise over love,
And over hate,
Through this iron sky,
That's fast becoming our minds
Over fear,
Into freedom.
Into freedom!
From which we'll rise over love,
And over hate,
Through this iron sky,
That's fast becoming our minds
Over fear,
Into freedom
Freedom
From which we'll rise over love,
And over hate,
Through this iron sky,
That's fast becoming our minds.
Over fear and into freedom.
Freedom!
Oh!
Rain on me!
Rain on me!
Rain on me!

This song that I am about to mention was the last song played
by the Armed Forces Radio Network in Bagdad prior to ceasing
operations in Bagdad during the drawdown from Iraq. It was
selected by servicemembers who where polled........
(This I did not know until now. I was just listening to Toby
Keith and decided to search more about the song and him)..

"COURTESY OF THE RED WHITE AND BLUE"
----------------------------------------------------------------
American girls
And Amercian guys
We'll always stand up and salute
We'll always recongize
When we see Old Glory flying
There's a lot of men dead
So we can sleep in peace at night
When we lay down our head
My daddy served in the army
Where he lost his right eye
But he flew a flag out in our yard
Until the day that he died
He wanted my mother, my brother
My sister and me
To grown up happy and live
In the land of the free
Now this nation that I love
Has fallen under attack
A mighty sucker punch came flying in
From some where in the back
Soon as we could see clearly
Through out big black eye
Then we lit up your world
Like the 4th of July
Hey Uncle Sam put your name
At the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shaking her fist.
And the eagle will fly
Man it's gonna be hell
When you hear mother freedom
Start ringing her bell
And it will feel like the whole wide world
Is raining down on you
Brought to you
COURTESY OF THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE..
Justice will be served
And the battle will rage
This big dog will fight
When you rattle his cage
You'll be sorry that you messed with
The U. S. of A.
'Cause we'll put a boot in your ass
It's the American way
Hey Uncle Sam put your name
At the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shaking her fist
And the eagle will fly
Man it's gonna be hell
When you hear mother freedom
Start ringing her bell
And it will feel like the whole wide world
Is raining down on you
Brought to you
COURTESY OF THE RED WHITE AND BLUE
Of the RED WHITE AND BLUE
Of MY RED WHTIE AND BLUE...........
=========================================
That song says it all. My hat is off to you Mr.Keith.
It is also 'My' Red, White and Blue......
=========================================
Thank you all who read this post. This should be and
inspiration to all of us.
PEACE
