Aretha Franklin, The Queen of Soul, RIP

Today, the world mourns the loss of The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. She passed away this morning in her home town of Detroit at the age of 76.

 

The world will miss your presence among us, but your music will be with us forever! RIP.

@nyadrn - You're most welcome! I was happy to see it on NPR because there are songs on the list that I'm not familiar with, and also, there's quite a collection of her gospel music. Wow, did she put the heart and soul in gospel! I read a commentary somewhere that she even made secular music sound like a religious experience! No wonder she was, and always will be, The Queen of Soul.
