Every year for one weekend in October (this year Oct. 14-16) you can take about a 45 minute walk in the dark (the paths have lanterns, it's not totally dark) with stops at various locations at Stone Mountain's Historic Square to hear professional storytellers telling ghost stories.  Not too scary for the little ones and refreshments are available.

The tour doesn't include information on the buildings, so if you want to hear about those you'll have to go during the day.  You can also ride "The Ducks" or the scenic railway, hike or take the Skyride to the top of the mountain, and plenty more.  Spring through Fall stay for the nightly laser show.

Various festivals are held the the park throughout the year, so check their calendar to see what's happening when you plan to visit.
