Seattle is one of several cities that have what is called a CityPass available for use. It offers great deals on some of the best places in Seattle. These include the iconic Space Needle, the rocking EMP museum, and Pacific Science Center, to name a few. There is so much to do in Seattle that you will want to come back again...and again...and again.

Everyone must see the space needle at least one time on a visit. Synonomous  with the first Worlds Fair and how to this day, it graces the Seattle skyline with grace and beauty.

I have been to Seattle Washington.  My trip was amazing. When you first arrive the smell of coffee is in the air, and I must say there is a Star Bucks on every corner. The view is amazing every where to be beside the ocean ,although while I was ther I was informed this is the Pugent Sound not the ocean, you can dine right beside the water at the pier . You have musicians out on sidewalks just an  exciting atmosphere.  Seattle has what they call the Duck tour . This is a ninety minute tour that  consist of a vehicle that manuevers in the water and on the land. They have a driver who entertains the guest as he tells about the history of Seattle, this was very informative yet very entertaining. We started out on land  and then in the ocean. We went to the fish market and they have huge fish on display. People who work will trhow the fish out for the public to catch it was fun to watch, I personally didnt catch a fish but alot of people enjoyed the show. Then they have the space needle at the bottom of the space needle is a little mall that has all kind of resatraunts inside. This was definately a trip worth taking. Love the view a drive along the highway was absolutely breathtaking.

Argosy Cruises offers various tour of Puget Sound leaving from Seattle's waterfront.  But they also offer a locks cruise that demonstrates how marine traffic got from Lake Washington to Puget Sound and back.  On a sunny day it's a great way to get a little history and a lot of watery beauty in one trip!

When taking your dog on a long trip, bring along a gallon of water from home.  Dogs have delicate constitutions in some ways and their stomachs can get upset by something as simple as a change in water.   Who wants a sick dog on a trip?!

over the years, highways have driven people away from small towns. Take a moment to drive off the highway and explore the little towns. You never know what you might see.

Head to the Colman Docks in downtown Seattle and get on the Bremerton ferry! If you're staying downtown or can take a train or a bus from elsewhere, walking on is ideal. There is a bus stop right at the passenger terminal and train stops about two blocks away.  Buy your ferry ticket at the terminal or use an Orca card if you have one for your visit.  Cars, motorcycles and bikes can also go on the ferry - it's just that you'll have to wait in line, so check the WSDOT website for best travel times to ensure you can get right on.

It's a 50 minute ride with gorgeous views, even when the weather is less than perfect. Bring a picnic (if you forgot to get one, there are takeout places in the terminal) and sit at one of the many tables on board, or go up to the galley for a snack and beverage - beer and wine are available. In Bremerton, there are many walkable places to eat and drink. For best views, hit Anthony's, right at the ferry landing, which also features a pretty marina. For a huge selection of beers, hit Toro Lounge, a couple of blocks away. There are also ice cream shops, coffee shops, etc., a Navy museum and a decommissioned destroyer you can visit.

When you're ready to head home, if it's sunset or later, be sure to watch the approach from the front of the ferry. The Seattle skyline and giant Ferris wheel are spectacular at night. If you have kids along - or romantic notions - it might be a great time to walk right next door and take a ride on that Great Wheel!

I am in the Philippines and I did not take my return trip home but stayed an extra couple month. When I searched for a one way ticket home I searched a bunch of different sites. All came up in the 1100 hundred dollar area. I even bought a ticket. In a few days something came up again for ticket search so I searched again this time for the same dates for a round trip ticket. My price came up in the 450 dollar area cheaper than the one way ticket. Naturally I bought the round trip ticket and canceled the one way ticket. Two of the flights I will be traveling on are with the same airline that was charging 1100 dollars for one way. Lesson learned, search more ways for tickets.

Be a tourist and take an elevator to the top of the Space Needle and do yourself a favor take the express elevator and skip the line. The express elevator goes to a great restaurant!  Have a stone crab cake, take a window seat and enjoy. This is one great treat in a city of delights!

Try out the Margaux Restaurant at the Warwick Hotel Downtown Seattle. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful. We go there every year at Christmas for a special holiday dinner. You will love it. Watch for a coupon on Groupon. Totally worth it.
