Ybor City is a little community in Tampa, that was built on marsh land that was thought to be uninhabitable... The founder,  Vicente Martinez-Ybortook a chance in 1886 when he bought the land and moved his cigar factory there.  The City is now one of only 2 National Historic sites in Florida.  Best way to see the City:  Take a "Food Walking Tour".  It took about 2-3 hours and was a blast.  We learned all about the city and got to eat traditional yummies (including a Cuban sandwich) along the way!  I highly recommend!!!  (sorry I tried to rotate photos!!IMG_9190.JPGIMG_9170.JPGIMG_9185.JPGcuban sandwichcuban sandwich
