The Yard Bar in the heart of '50s era Austin is the city's first (and only) eatery and bar that caters to dog-lovers. The dining patio is open to two- and four-legged patrons alike--no dog required for entry. Although the real fun is watching the dog patrons play, WiFi is available for anyone who must stay connected. The menu for humans is great for individuals or groups, and there's a canine menu, too. Where else in Austin can you dine on a roasted beet salad while Fido eats sliders custom made for doggy tastes and digestion? A plus for nostalgia buffs: the Yard Bar is located on what used to be a Putt-Putt mini-golf course, remnants of which can still be seen.
