The SF Fine Arts Museums offer you the Legion of Honor, a lovely museum at Land's End / Lincoln Park near the Pacific Ocean.  Spectacular views around the museum grounds are Deal Number One, and the view of the back side of the Golden Gate Bridge as well as the view of Downtown SF from the museum steps absolutely cannot be beat.  Deal Number Two is the Legion of Honor museum itself with lovely traditional paintings, furniture and scultpture with an original Thinker by Rodin to greet you.  The museum showcases several works by Rodin, Impressionists and others, and a full room of French baroque reproduction called the Salon Dore (Golden Room) only recently carefully restored to its full beauty.  Deal Number Three has a Part A or Part B: Part A is stick around the museum until 4 PM on a Saturday or Sunday and take in a 1-hour free organ concert on the period Skinner organ.  Part B, if you wish to move on, is free admission to the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park with your Legion of Honor entry ticket on the same day, but make sure you've arrived at 9:30 AM at the Legion to enjoy the late afternoon at the de Young because the de Young is not a small museum and you'll want to enjoy your time there as well.Legion of Honor CourtyardLegion of Honor CourtyardLegion of Honor entrywayLegion of Honor entryway
