Travel one block off the Strip to erase 50 years, as you enter the oldest steak house in Las Vegas. The Golden Steer Steakhouse, founded in 1958, was a favorite of celebrities including Frank Sinatra Elvis Presley, and Joe DiMaggio.  Today it retains the hushed elegance of a bygone era. Best known for their prime rib and corn-fed beef steaks, they also offer entrees such as Alaskan king crab legs, lamb chops with mint jelly and pineapple ring, and Chicken of the Angels--a boneless breast of chicken dipped in egg batter with artichokes and mushrooms. At least stop by the bar for a martini and a taste of history.
