The most memorable vacation included both a family history as well as our American History.  We traveled to a lesser known destination, Nauvoo Illinois, which is a restoration of a 1850 period community.  We were on the banks of the Mississippi, in the tri-corners of Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.  Nearby was Hannibal MO, Keokuk, Iowa, (home of Radar on M.A.S.H.)   We chose not to go to a Theme Park, because we really wanted to know more about our country's history, as well as our own ancestor's histories.  It is still the most memorable vacation for all of the people that were on the trip.
