For a true Olde New York experience, go to KEEN'S CHOP HOUSE on West 36th Street in Manhattan.  "Nouvelle need not apply" for this classic restaurant housed in a former men's club, featuring hundreds of clay pipes on the ceiling arranged by Member Number.  The signature dish is the "Mutton Chop," about the size of two fists of cut-with-a-spoon lamb.  Extensive wine list, as well as a full array of single-malt Scotch whisky.  Be sure and visit the Bull Moose Room, where President Theodore Roosevelt was known to dine.  BULLY!
