When visiting Seattle earlier this year, a friend suggested we vistit the Madison Park neighborhood.  After some research we discovered that from downtown Seattle we could take the number 11 bus.  Getting around in Seattle on the bus is a snap.  We didn't want to rent a car and have to worry about downtown parking.  Sure enough, the bus dropped us off in this charming area.  It was a clear day and we were treated to a rare and wonderful view of Mount Baker, shimmering and snow-capped above Lake Washington, whose shores we were standing on.  After walking around the neighborhood, and wandering in and out of fascinating shops, we settled down for lunch at an English pub, right across from the lake.  The food was delicious, and the bus ride back to downtown was easy and fun.
