@Anonymous I'm going through the list that the AARP The Girlfriend weekly newsletter recommended this past week. Currently reading "Love Warrior" by Glennon Doyle Melton. Next will be "The Red Tent" by Anita Diamant and the final one, We Are Never Meeting In Real Life" by Samantha Irby. --- Christine

I can't really separate my before retirement from my before Covid reading because those two events happened nearly simultaneously. So the answer to both is, yes, reading more.
I discovered Beverly Jenkins a few months ago when I was looking for historical fiction with some sensual romance in it. Her work is great for that. I've enjoyed Before the Dawn best so far.
I've also enjoyed a couple memoirs. Prague Winter by Madeleine Albright is superb, and Born with Teeth by Kate Mulgrew was also entertaining.
But I've probably spent the most time reading the Outlander series and its associated Lord John and other character spin off stories.
