In my very humble opinion, AFFORDABLE will mean "different" things to different AGE 50+ folks.

 

[1] IF you are still working, you may have more options available as far as finding a SAFE area to live that you can AFFORD.

 

[2] Here in my location in Virginia, my Apartment Complex was bought by Investors. I was able to NEGOTIATE a decent "increase" of only $20 in my rent in EXCHANGE for letting them RENOVATE my Studio Apt AFTER I move back to Florida. SO GRATEFUL!!!
