I enjoyed the article, but I think the comments at the end are the best part...including reasons folks retired or want to retire. I am recently retired and I see myself in some of those stories.

For some years I'd been half-way planning to work until I was 70...due to my wife's much younger age than me, I didn't want to leave a pauper-ed widow. But thanks to Mr. Market I retired at my FRA of 66, plus one more month. A company that had been my home for 20 years just was not "home" any more, so the SS fffred set sail on June 30 of that year.
