This article is so far removed from MY REALITY that it is almost useless.
I have been married to a wonderful woman for 49 years while this article discusses a MAN married to a MAN. They live in Palm Springs, California, well known as the largest LGBTQ community in the country. In 2019, the electorate elected an all LGBT government.
Palm Springs is also so exclusive that the average home is close to ONE MILLION DOLLARS.
This gay couple is so well-to-do that they are buying a place in Mexico while holding onto their Palm Springs property.
That article couldn't be any more distant from my socioeconomic reality.
That is the trouble with AARP today.
Their articles either mislead, misinform, or represent a population to which most retirees DON'T BELONG.
