I always purchase carnival cruise digital gift cards and receive them within minutes. I am currently sailing and I purchased one last night for $500 and it has not been emailed. What’s strange is I ordered 2 $100 gift cards a few hours after this and received those right away. Who can I contact?
Hi Teri,
I have called numerous times. I just received an email from the Consumer Care department. This was what they stated “We apologize for any frustration you have experienced. We have escalated your issue to the AARP technical support team.” “ Consumer Care Ombudsman team“
I really hope they can fix this I need those gift cards by December 21 for 4 Military I’m gifting. It’s pending so I know from my credit card has been charged in pending and has been authorized by the merchant which is AARP
So, I’m not sure what is going on as I have nothing. I’m really upset about this as it seems it’s happening to a lot of members. I am beside myself and feel I made a mistake in joining AARP .. 😞
I hope you will be able to get your gift cards in time. The Consumer Care Ombudsman Team were of no help when I had an issue completing a transaction to purchase gift cards. The rep claimed that the technical difficulties were on my end, however, I later found out the technical errors were caused by updates to the AARP site.
Hello,
Me too! It’s just sad how they continue to place the blame on the members. My bank flat out stated that it was on their end ( merchant). When members are told such it makes them appear to be non trustworthy. I will not make this mistake again. I can’t believe this organization is allowing this to happen and not immediately fix it with all their members.

AARP is not interested in how this rewards program is run. All they care about is the $$$ that can be brought in by recruiting as many Millennials, Generation X &
Generation Z’s as possible.
Purchasing any merchandise from this site is the worse thing a person can do. All one has to do is take a look around at past post on this forum. They do not have a clue about how to operate a credit card system
Hello I just purchased 4 gift cards and never received either. However, it’s pending on my credit card 360.00 I look at my CC app and saw it.
I contacted the number here on the website customer service. They told me they didn’t see the charge on their end. There was an error message when I did it so I was like okay then it won’t be a charge. How wrong I was!
called my credit card and they told me yes aarp does have a 360.00 pending charge on your account.
Called CS aarp back and told them that they charged me for something they didn’t send. The response I got was they would send it to tech support and they would contact me back. My suggest is to contact customer service at aarp speak with someone and also let your credit card company know as well. Best of luck I’m in the same position. I will not go through this again once is enough. Their CS number is 1-866-451-6305
