All my life I heard my dad say, "I don't want a nickel that doesn't belong to me, but I want every penny that does."  He raised 6 honest kids who don't steal or cheat people out of anything, and work hard for what they get without the expectation that anything will just be handed to them.

Daddy was VERY active right up to the beginning of his health decline 5 years ago.  He passed away in January of this year, and the last year was especially hard for him.  He wasn't leaving the house at all, couldn't drive, couldn't do anything exerting in the least bit.  One day we were sitting on the back porch and I asked him if he ever thought his super active lifestyle would come come to this.  He shrugged his shoulders and said, "You have to play the hand that's dealt you."  Another saying that I am certain I will remember to a ripe old age!

Anytime that I was ready to quit something or throw in the towel, my daddy always encouraged me to keep on trying with these words of wisdom:

"Can't never could do anything."  Love you daddy!

My Mother used to say, "It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as it is to fall in love with a poor man".
