Not a thing people go out a drive like nuts .

Why can’t they just wait a hour or two and let them plow the streets .

The cold stinks brings out the

every thing you have broken banged. But the good thing after February with a blink of a eye it’s over thank God for spring. Winter ❄️ cold stinks

I like winter because the temperature is (usually) below 90 degrees.  I can work in my greenhouse again without both my plants and me croaking from the heat; the barn owls come back to their box; I don't have to water my gardens every day, and sometimes, when (if) it really cools down, I can wrap myself up in the beautiful purple afghan that my New Hampshire cousin knitted for me several years ago.  And if it really gets cool at night, we can have a fire in one of our wood burning stoves, which is our source of heat during the winter months.

Sweaters, mittens, warm blankets, thoughful neighbors who clear my sidewalk, snow angels and Christmas are among my favorite winter things. I look forward to each changing season, but when it's really cold, I appreciate the fact that I'm retired and can stay home. If I do need to battle a blizzard, I'm grateful for all wheel drive.

Just came in from outside with another thing I adore about our winters: elk come down from the high mountains in search of eats. There's about 200 of them now sunning in a nearby field.  Yay! Smiley Happy

It is pretty simple. I live in Austin TX, and my favorite thing about winter is that it is no longer 80-95 degrees at 11pm. I can SLEEP!
