I remember the Gremlins.  That was my 1st auto as well.  It was not new though.  It was a 72 one and I really loved it.  It looked kind of funny but it always got me and my kids from point A to Point B so I am not knocking it!

Have a great day!

My 1st car in 1955 was a '49 Renault 4CV. It had great turn signals, a little hand with finger pointing in the turn direction popped out from the post behind the front seats. Unfortunatly, it had problems so only had it about a year.

1963 Dodge 440 station wagon was a hand-me-down in that was purchased new in the family.  Someother family used cars include a 1960 Valiant, a rusty 1957 Ford Galaxie.

First car I purchased was a 1976 Dodge Aspen.  The 318V8 was great.

My first car was a beautiful aqua green 69 Plymouth Fury, 3 on the column.  I loved that car but I also lived in a town that had very steep hills and for a new driver, 3 on the column and hills, it was best to go with an automatic which was a 67 Chevy Nova, Candy-Apple Red and I drove that all through high school

My first car was a used 1966 VW Bug.  It had 100,000 miles on it when I purchased it.  It had a sun roof.  Once I had the engine overhauled and some sturdy Blackstone tires put on it, we'd roll up and down the hills of San Francisco and the state of California.

I loved my "ride" and named it Fred.  When I decided to move to the east coast, I "sold" (actually gave) it to the guy who was the mechanic who almost loved Fred as much as I did and who I knew would take care of it.

1931 Model Coupe. Top speed 50 mph but took a 1/2 mile to stop. Brother sold it when I went to Vietnam Nam.

What was your first car?  Love to hear about the different cars everyone first owned

Mine was a '62 Chevy Impala, 2 door hardtop. Forgot if it was SS, don't think so.  Light , light yellow.  Paid $1,200.00 in '69.  Wish I still had it.   Just had a 283 ,  whatever that means.  I am a lady, so don't know that much about cars. Well, i know a little actually, as my husband taught me about cars...even helped him work on.

A lot of good memories,  still have a picture...

My First car my mother co signed for the loan on a brand new 1977 Toyota Corolla. It had an AM radio, NO carpet, No ac and it took all of $7.00 to fill it up! I drove that car in the Texas heat until I handed it to my husband as a work car , we put 200,000. miles on that car and sold it for 300.00 . The car never stopped running.
