Admit I’m frugal and refuse easily to pay $90 for replacement sliders for A/C have used coming in 2-3 weeks from scrap yard.

In mean time need replacement will be 95* in 4 days, oh joy.

Any fellow frugal, thrifty, cheap diy’ers ever blessed by similar issue? How did you fix it? Plywood or wood? Dowels or screwed and glued?

Can move once or twice before discomfort, cracked ribs😎. Pain creates character but, I’d prefer not to change my character again weight is around 150 lbs for A/C.

I know easy accordion slide is not happening - thoughts  or pictures would help.

Usually I can visualize how to do something this time not happening🤔 -got nothing.

Have table saw with dado Head, tools but, no clue and to make matters more joyous only solid part of window will be sash bottom <vinyl replacements> And window sills.

Thanks

Froze
