I had shoulder surgery in April and two weeks later I had a trip planed to visit my daughter in Chicago.  I had gotten in touch with the airlines early and told them I would need assistance with my carry on luggage.  I was assured that would not be a problem.  When I got on the plane and asked the attendant for help she asked me to move along.  I went to my seat and asked a big guy for some help.  He ignored me and the older lady got up, lifted the bag in place and helped me sit down.  We chatted on the flight and she was 75 years old and I told her how much I appreciated her help.  She also got the bag down for me.  I won't trust airlines again and thank goodness for that lady.
