The NOAA is on it.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s acting chief scientist said in an email to colleagues Sunday that he is investigating whether the agency’s response to President Trump’s Hurricane Dorian tweets constituted a violation of NOAA policies and ethics. Also on Monday, the director of the National Weather Service broke with NOAA leadership over its handling of Trump’s Dorian tweets and statements.

NOAA just wants to avoid a twitter conflict with Trump.

Its much worse that that. Republicans everywhere have used their political power to prevent anyone in the part of Government they control from using the words "climate change" and "global warming".

The GOPerPutz in Florida is a prime example, and since the hurrricane's strength and destructive power are a result of things they don't believe in, the rest of us should deny aid for about half the damage because it was caused by something Floridians voted to deny.

But alas, too many Progressives don't vote because they don't LOVE the rational candidate and thereby usher into office the IRRATIONAL Republicans.

Do not be completely discouraged. NOAA scientists were shocked by  the 'unidentified'  high level official who violated  the Agency scientific integrity policy by allowing an altered map to be displayed as an official product without discussing it with staff first, tried to gag scientists, and disengenously misinterpreted earlier draft model output. More than one NOAA employee union is looking into the matter.

Sharpie Gate, to me is starting to become a larger circle of trump influence. Along with NOAA, DOD, DOJ,

the Air Force lying in order to protect trump, do we also need to add the IGs,

Inspector Generals of different departments? Are they corrupted also?

Renember, before problems can be fixed, they must be recognized and addressed.

Back in the day of prior presidents, foolishness was not spouted with such regularity that the NOAA had to say anything. Back in those days the president knew enough to be silent if he had nothing to say.
Those days are temporatily gone...
