Since we-the-people are going more into debt ....the key members of the GOP want to cut social benefits for the disabled, children, seniors and less fortunate economically  in order  to pay for the tax cuts for the rich and their corporations.

They call that starving the beast.

They won't need socialism until the next bank bailout.

@gordyfl Thanks for sharing!  But we still hear soooo much complaining about how all those people want something for free...REALLY?  No, they say, we can't ask them to pay more taxes for what they earned the good ol' American way.....REALLY?

The implication that people were happy to be so poor that they qualified for free services always seemed false to me.

Number of US Corporations Paying 'Not a Dime' in Federal Taxes Doubled in 2018

https://www.commondreams.org/news/2019/04/11/bolstered-trump-tax-scam-number-us-corporations-paying-...

The report by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy found that 60 companies—including Amazon, Netflix, Activision Blizzard, General Motors, and IBM—used "a diverse array of legal tax breaks" to bring their federal tax liability to zero.

Other companies on this list include Chevron, Delta Airlines, Eli Lilly, Gannett, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Halliburton, Jetblue Airways, Principal Financial, Salesforce.com, US Steel, and Whirlpool.

See the complete list of U.S. companies which paid "not a dime" in federal taxes last year here:
