Full quote - “I think it was great at the time when families were united — even though we had slavery. They cared for one another. People were strong in the families. Our families were strong. Our country had a direction.”

There is much positive in that for ALL Americans - family strength.

Fast forward to the 1960 and the War on Poverty - well intentioned but did grave damage to the black family.

So, slavery is bad, of course - but is family not good? He made a good point in that regard

"MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" DEFINED

Message 112 of 112

Senate Republican candidate Roy Moore was asked "When was America great" in response to Trump's misinforming slogan of "Make America Great Again".

Roy Moore: America “was great at the time when families were united — even though we had slavery”.

Families united? ....... Not so much for slaves as their families were torn apart when they were sold off.

And in general, the lives of slaves were not so GREAT Roy!

And in this time frame of "slavery" ..... women were not allowed to vote and were expected to be subservient to men.  And of course slaves were also not allowed to vote.

But Moore could have grabbed a slave's female child without having to ask the child's mother for permission!

Yeah ..... given Moore's racism, bigotry and treatment of females ...... Moore would see this as the time America was great ...... and so would Trump!

DUMP TRUMP AND DITCH MITCH TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!
