Obviously, terrorists enter the country through airports and our northern order. Only 6 on the list of suspected terrorists have come through the southern border. A Wall is plain stupid and a political chess piece.

If we are talking about fencing in the porta potties out back, a "physical barrier" is just fine.

If you are talking about 230 miles of steel slats, it is an idea only a moron could thing it would work. Of course, Trump does not think it would work, he simply does not care how many taxpayer dollars he wastes.

Were the Dems talking about porta potties when they supported fences (or if you prefer "fencing")?

Well, why did trump wait until the dems took over the House to press for funding for the wall. Why didn't he get Congress to do it wile the Republicans had the majority in the House and the Senate?

Only because we allow them to lie without consequence. Restore the Fairness Doctrine, which had penalties for lying in the media and calling it news, and we can remove the Republican poison from our system. The border wall was just a way to rev up the lofo's - it's ANOTHER GOPer dog whistle letting their base know they intend to do as much harm as possible to poor brown people who want to become Americans.

I'm pretty sure most Americans prefer things that work over those that don't work and waste billions of tax dollars every year. That is why Dems are not interested in adding lil donny's 215 miles of physical barriers that will cost $5B EVERY YEAR for the people to patrol them and repair them.

An interesting thought - if we do not have a physical barrier, there is no need to patrol that area. Do you ever think before spouting these ideas?

What we need is IMMIGRATION REFORM, starting with 11 million hard working people already here. Those without a conviction for a violent crime should get Green Cards IMMEDIATELY, thus ending their illegal status and bringing them into the society their labor supports. Then their kids need to be allowed to apply for citizenship anytime after their 18th birthday, if they do not have a conviction for a violent crime.

Not that it's a bad idea but that is the compromise Reagan made with the Dems - acceptance of the illegals here in exchange for increased efforts to stop new illegals. That didn't work very well did it?

Having cleared that mess, we need to move on and DEPORT all those who snuck into the country on phoney baloney visas, like strippers who got "Genius Visas" along with any Americans who harbored them..

Anyone else you think should be deported besides that person whoever she is that has your panties in a wad?

Jim, try and under stand, first Trump broke a campaign promise by saying Mexico would pay for the wall. Ooops. How did that work out for you? Second the majority of Dems. and Independents do NOT want the wall. We don't need it. Border security yes, a wall, no. Third, why did Trump wait until the Dems. took back the House to make the wall an issue?

First - you're right he was unable to get the Mexican government to pay for our national security;

Second - the Dems like fences. Do you support fences in areas where the President has proposed a wall or that spiked thing?

Third - he didn't.

What about the portions of the wall that are already in place?  They were voted on and paid for by Schumer, Pelosi, Senator Obama.  Were they duped?  The places where it is in place have much fewer illegal crossings, How do you explain that?
