You have watched too many movies and taken them too seriously.  I've seen too many that blame their laziness on military service.  I admire those Veterans (and civilians) that are hardworking and take responsibility for their actions, and those that don't go around attacking others in areas they know nothing about.  Or claiming to have been something they are not.

You need to stop watching war movies and TV shows.

I can't believe the low opinion you have of our VETERANS............. that is, if they are ill.

In a few short posts, I have seen you call these individuals miscreants, misfits, those that have gone off the deep end, and here, dropouts from life and disgraces.

You sure don't sound like a "Brother in Arms".

In fact, you speak in such derogatory terms of VETERANS, one might begin to question many things you have previously said about yourself.

There seems to be no compassion in your words.

You gave seminars in Human Relations, yeah right!!!!!!

Again, which of these school shooters were veterans?

Were you in the military and if so were you trained for combat?  If so were you in the combat arms or in support activities, or in combat zones?  If you were in a support role did it affect you?

If you haven't been in the military services how do you know how how it affects the majority of them?  How many of those who claim PTSD were actually in combat or never left the states?  Many are only claiming PTSD who are just dropouts from life.  They are a disgrace to those that really have problems from military service.

How many children that were in war zones and saw others killed were permanently affected or grew up to lead normal lives?  You are inserting much conjecture based on your personal opinions rather than fact.

Our Federal Government needs to fund some type of action to address this issue.

Why just veterans?

Why not address mental health for everyone?

Stephen Paddock wasn't a military service veteran, look at the damage he did.

We forget about Stephen Paddock and the Las Vegas shooting already?

REPUBLICANS voted the tax cuts that make such treatment IMPOSSIBLE. The only way to provide what ALL the people need is for ALL the people to make equal sacrifice for that common good, and equal sacrifice is NOT equal dollar amounts. Until the 1% gives up the same level of personal comfort as the middle class does, our tax brackets are NOT "fair".

The NRAGOP will never agree to ban semi-automatic weapons that can fire more than 8 times before reloading nor will they agree to repeal of the Reagan Taxscam and restore a modicum of fairness in how we pay for our Democracy,

END THE PROBLEM - VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP IN NOVEMBER.

A difference from someone who keeps after another to answer personal questions that are not pertinent to a discussion, completely off the topic of the thread nor any of the questioners business.

First of all, it is not your call as to what is off topic.

Discussion of ages, weaponry, access, Veteran status, and a multitude of other subjects are ON TOPIC when discussing mass murder.

Demosntrating behavior both swinish and revolting, the NRAGOP is now calling the student survivors "snowflakes" for not just "sucking it up" and forgetting their massacured classmates and abandon their crusaide to get rid of the weapons used in the slaughter of innocents. FIVE of the Florida victims were FOURTEEN YEARS OLD! But Republicans saw the slaughter of 26 INFANTS - 5 AND 6 YEARS OLD - AS NO REASON TO RESTRICT GUNS IN ANY WAY so their reaction to the "much older" florida students is to be expected...from Republicans.

Yeah Republicans - our school children MUST BE TOUGH and not let watching their friends slaughtered before their eyes make them want these gun events to stop.

Never mind that over a million men and women trained for combat have returned from the jrbush-GOP wars with PTSD that Republicans refuse to provide the money needed to facilitate their treatment. Children just have to get used to it.

END THE PROBLEM - VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP IN NOVEMBER!

The last example was one veteran with three hostages.  I really question whether he could control and kill three healthy, younger, women with a hammer or knife.  Or a match..... A gun is  a tool which increases the person's capacity. Very much like a steam shovel is a better tool for digging than a shovel.

If I suggested you could replace a guy with a bulldozer with a guy with a shovel on a construction site, you would call me crazy.  The same situation is true for expecting the same level of mayhem from a veteran with a hammer as from a veteran with a firearm.

Absolutely correct, Richva.  Some can't see the forrest for the tree's....

Freud right??   Yep.  At the risk of plagiarising someone on the forums frequent and annoying- LMAO. I'm LMAO.  How "annoying"....lol!  But, glad you "got it"!

Hardly an expert today, of course, he died almost 80 years ago.  willing to give Freud's theories any credit. Your mistaken kemosabe......dream analysis, "talk therapy", the development of the ego, free association, defense mechanism and much more are still seen as valuable contributions to the science today.  You should catch up on the subject, fang.  You'll notice many mental deficiencies in the man you put in the White House.

Just saying......
