Doesn’t matter what condition the inmate is in. Government is responsible for appropriate care. When men come in with COPD, the jail doesn’t just say they should have taken care of that before arrest.

I agree. But the issue to me is how to void the circumstances in the future and in the fist place, not how to deal with it when it wasn't properly dealt with in advance.

You aren’t going to prevent pregnancy of all women who will get arrested. You need to deal with implementing appropriate protocols in the jail.

This is true. But the situation of this topic is rather unique and can be solved along with other issues that such a woman might have in advance.

When a woman is totally unable to take care of herself, much less a child, there are medical procedures available to avoid the pregnancy.

Yes, additionally, all the suggested treatment and care for the woman would be appropriate.

The woman was able to give birth all by herself, and was found holding a live child upon discovery. It would seem she's quite capable of taking care of herself and a child, at particularly crucial moments in each of their lives.

There's another way to avoid a pregnancy that requires no medical procedures - the man could pull out before ejaculating. Not sure why the birth control onus always has to be on the woman.

This is not about the average pick-up in a bar that goes awry. This woman had specific circumstances and needs. However, in general you are right and then there is always the ever popular "booty" making a round mark in the guys wallet - i remember the days when that was effective "never leave home without one".

The only assertion is the Broward County sheriffs department is known to be incompetent.  That is relative. Being conservative or liberal has no bearing.... so you missed the point.

No sir.  You missed your own point...I said nothing about political idiology having any impact in this matter, but nice try.

Why do you assume the next sheriff will be incompetent? Do you have some information that's relative? Before you rush to foolish judgement and blame president Trump's friend , Gov. Ron DeSantis, maybe you should read up a bit.... it's fundamental.

My guess is... sleeping guards.

DeSantis appointed Gregory Tony back in January, and this event happened in April.  This failure to provide appropriate medical care happened under his watch.

So so what are YOU talking about?
