Sadly, we have drifted so far left that they do seem to the right.

Example, just imagine a Democrat today saying, "Ask not what your country can do for you..........". He would be condemned as a radical right winger - or worse, a free market capitalist.

you re mistaken in what you think he was talking about. he was talking about ACTIVISM for the common worker, of all colors.

Interesting - and all these years people thought he was talking about Americans striving for America rather than taking from America. I never heard it was a racial speech.

And "ACTIVISM" - do you think he was calling for antifa to take over the Constitutional functions of the Courts, the police as well as the "rule of law"?

Franklin Roosevelt knew how to win elections. Would FDR be considered a moderate?

Colors are showing. The Republican Party and it's Presidential candidate ran on dumping socialized medicine. The Republicans were all for it when it was subject to Obama's veto - then they whoosed out. Those anti- do not believe it's better for the citizens nor the desires of their constituents.

So - "colors" - there are only two, pro-socialized medicine and anti-socialized medicine

republican/conservative political myopia, along with RWNJ delusional belief systems, are responsible for many completely erroneous assumptions involving an entirely fallacious necessity for choosing either the extreme crackpot fringe right - or the rational, logical, and lucid left...

It all depends upon whether one is a frothing-at-the-mouth RWNJ, or a logical, rational, and lucid progressive...

Lucid and Progressive are antonyms.

Does all that mean you agree or disagree with the thought that Republicans ran in support of a platform including the elimination of socialized medicine.

Sorry - you haven't paid the obligatory ten grand up front...

Or if you prefer - do you have any thoughts on the original topic?

Sure do - I'll move to the political right just after hell freezes over.

Or do you just want to post insults?

Well - Instead of insults - I posted fact.

Another off-topic dodge. Ta-ta!

I think you got it wrong again, Fish, though extremists often view the other side as extremists, usually because they themselves are so far Right (or Left).

The Dems are more moderate and have been for years.  Although Repubs loved to paint Obama as a Liberal and a Socialist (it played well to their very ill-informed base), Obama was a moderate and almost every policy he created, the far left complained.....that's a sign he was a moderate as well.  His support of TPP was a moderate, maybe even a Republican like policy.

Clinton also was a moderate, both Bill and Hillary.....in fact, Bernie was the far Left Democrat.

Most intelligent Americans realize the most Americans are moderates, either left leaning, right leaning or more Centrist.  The extreme's, far-left and far-right make a LOT of noise and get a lot of attention, but most Americans don't support their extremist views.  For example, several far-right posters here are constantly picking arguments with far-left views, that very few support.  They just don't "get-it"....they're fighting with themselves.  Some are just so far to the Right, that RINO's and moderates are called "far-left Liberals" by these folks looking for a fight.
