And then here is what he really said today:

"The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea."

That tiny little word, IF...

I agree with the above statement and it makes me "feel" good knowing we have a president that is willing to do whatever it takes to protect the American people from the thugs around the world.

Let's talk about his options now...........almost none.

He is threatening North Korea, conveniently located between China and, our ally, South Korea. Whatever he does has to take out every single North Korean nuke at once without fallout or blast damage going into the other countries.  North Korea has been hiding their capabilities in tunnels since the early sixties. They are great at it.  Assuming he can identify and destroy all their nukes with bunker buster conventional weapons, there are 20 million South Koreans within range of North Korean conventional artillery, also hidden in many cases. Finally, we have the nightmare scenario of Kim Jong Un having a nuke on one or more tramp freighters just tooling around the Atlantic, Pacific, and the Gulf waiting to be ordered to cruise into, say, New York harbor and detonate.  So, no viable military option yet that is all Trump now has available to him.

Trump looks like an ineffective idiot. But, we are getting used to that.

He sure does look like an ineffective idiot and proves his favorite negotiating technique is bullying.
