Trump should not talk to Mueller at all, not try to halt the investigation (witch hunt), and push for having Hillary/Obama added to the investigation based on the illegal FISA warrant used by Democrats to spy (illegally again) on Trump. Of course the Obama cult will disagree vociferously.

Why did Trump stop Russia sanctions?

Gruffstuff, if one looks at the skill set of the people Mueller hired to investigate the Trump Administration, they are predominantly FINANCIAL TRANSACTION experts. These are people who can follow and track international financial transactions. This is why Trump is TERRIFIED of Mueller. Trump knows he's an international crook and he got away with that for decades. But now experienced law enforcement experts are following the money, hot on his crooked tail.

Unfortunately, Trump Cult members are too dumb to understand why Trump is attacking Mueller, Comey, the FBI, Rosenstein, etc.

And the "balancing act" is:

If Trump imposes the sanctions, the Russians will reveal the Golden Girls video and stop lending him money .... collapsing his phony "house of cards" empire.

If Trump does not impose the sanctions, he will make his Russian handlers very happy and pave the way for them to interfere in the next election as well ..... betraying his own country.

Unfortunately, as Trump has already refused to impose the sanctions against Russia, there is NOTHING more to balance with Trump going full tilt for the Russians, betraying his own country!

Yeah that is about it, but I question if the dirt they have on him is merely sex, seems to me it has to be bigger then that, Trump flouts his sexcapades, he not ashamed of them, and his minions don't seem to mind.

At any rate expect more attacks in the upcoming elections, more Wikileaks, more Julian Assange, maybe even some Edward Snowden. The trolls are going to be out in full force, keep that in mind.

The liberal media, the liberal school teachers, the liberal universities, the liberal feminism, the liberal political correctness,  the liberal deep state, the liberal FBI, the liberal CIA so on and so on.  You guys know the drill, the bait topics, the feigned outrage.

SO, if Trump knows this, why no sanctions on Russia given all the support in the legislature?

The same reason Trump won't release his tax returns, the Russians hold his paper, maybe more then that, no question in my mind that the Russians have Trump and Republicans on a leash.

Why did Trump stop Russia sanctions?

Here are the facts which means Trump's Cult members will skip this part. The Republican controlled Senate voted 98-2 to impose sanctions against Russia. But Donald Trump refused to implement those sanctions voted for overwhelmingly by Republicans.

There's only one logical explanation for Trump failing to implement the Russan sanctions. Please note the key word "logical", which eliminates those who support and idolize Trump. They don't understand logic and they refuse to work with facts.

Why Did Trump Let the Russians Off the Hook?

The law, called the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, or CAATSA, called for three analytical reports and the imposition of no less than five punitive measures, out of a possible 12, against Russia for interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
The administration instead chose to impose zero new sanctions, saying the current ones were working and the “mere threat” of additional steps had had enough impact.

Even if that ‘paper thin’ rational were true....the Law passed by Congress, and signed by the President

— HAS NO SUCH “Escape Clause”.…this is something that Trump MUST do:

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/2/3/1738448/-If-Trump-fails-to-follow-through-on-this-It-prove...

phyllisc6781 - The fact that the Senate and the Congress are letting this slide,

Playing constitutional dodge-ball with the president?

makes me wonder what might be found if an investigation were launched into their inaction.

This article well explains the new CAATSA law enacted and other ways to POSSIBLY move on past dt's obstruction of the justice they would deliver to Russia. Good luck. He doesn't care about what they think.  He has other people telling him what to think and do. Miss the deadline, raise a glass to Putin and enjoy your cheeseburgers.

John McCain said it best, “ trump is doing Putin’s job for him.”

Gee, I miss having a real president!

yes. but the right sure doesnt want it noticed.

as posted on another board on the same issue, there are much larger international issues in play than the pettiness of partisanship.

It's "petty" and an attempt at distraction to bring up "petty partisanship" instead of giving your opinion as to why trump stopped the sanctions.

Did you not see the sources I posted indicating that they were not necessarily good for the US economy? So, the President has a balancing act to deal with there.

Or does that not matter -

Yup ..... Trump's betrayal of his own country does "not matter" to his supporters!

whining about everything the President does is the limit of your attention spawn.

Another one of your usual insults reflecting your inability to respond with anything factual or meaningful!
