Why The ‘Emerging Democratic Majority’ Isn’t Happening

The Democrats, so far, have picked up a net of 30 seats in the House of Representatives, with 10 key races still undecided. That brings the current balance of power tally to 225 Democratic-held seats to 200 Republican seats.

PanJ, stating and/or dealing with FACTS thoroughly confuses Trump Cult members. They are totally baffled when someone does that.

Now for an estimate. Two reliable sites I visited predict the Dems will win at least one half of the 10 races which are still too close to call, possibly slightly more. Let's assume that happens, it means the Dems will control 230 seats in the House. That's a pretty massive change in the House balance of Power. But don't tell any Trump Cult members because numbers only serve to confuse them.

True. I have to wonder how conservatives would answer this question: They never miss a chance to brag about the wonderful Trump economy, so how did they manage to be such mega-losers on Tuesday?

But you obviously got the point it was making or you wouldn't have bothered with a whiny reply. Nawwww, that's not true.

I am glad for the democrats who got in the House.  Now the american people will have someone that wants to make sure that their interests are protected and that no illegal nonsense is going on in the White House.  The new guy needs to be held accountable.  If he is breaking the law by doing things that are prohibited when you are the President, then he needs to be held accountable and deal with the consequences.  If not he has nothing to worry about.  He cannot be allowed to slide by any longer.  He needs to be held to the same rules as all the President's before him.   This House is going to make sure that happens.

If you think "the new guy" is breaking the law, that is an issue for the courts not the other political Party.

It's out there..... way out there!!!!

The topic isn't about the Federalist, it was just used it as a source.  Why do you continue going off-topic attacking the source rather than discussing the topic?

The source is free game and on topic, it was posted as a source. It is a terrible source and you know it.

With their midterm “blue wave” more a splash than a tsunami, Democrats are left wondering when their long-expected majority will finally emerge.

Their theory was simple: Republicans represent a shrinking portion of the electorate (old white people, especially men), while Democrats earn support from younger, minority voters. If demography is destiny, then Democrats are poised for sustained electoral triumph, which will shift the nation significantly to the left. The idea, popularized in the early aughts by the book “The Emerging

Democratic Majority,” seemed prescient as Democrats made their way to victory in 2006 and 2008.

The leaders might have made a mistake when they told the enablers to post this subject. The Dems gains are still rolling in. The AZ race for senate now has Dem leading. FL races going to recount. Ga Dist 6 went Dem when Karen Handel lost. She was GOP big hero 2 years ago. NM all 3 house seats now Dem plus 2 senate seats, and every state wide office. All should wait about a week and we will know the final results.

Lets look at it another way. First the USA is not a democracy. The person or party with the most votes does not win elections. In the house we have gerrymandering, The Senate is 2 per state not based on number of people. President is electoral college not based on total votes cast for a person running. Lets look at this election if it was based on number of votes for congress. There were more votes cast for Dems. in the house and Senate than for Reb. That means if elections were based on each person vote the congress Dems would be in control of both houses. Lets look at the President.  Trump lost to Clinton in the number of votes cast (popular vote). Here is the history of the vote for President from Clinton forward. Bill Clinton 8 years won popular vote. Al Gore 4 years won the popular vote. G. Bush 4 years won the popular vote. B. Obama 8 years won the popular vote. Hillary Clinton 4 years won the popular vote.  We have had 24 years of Dems, and 4 years  of Reb rule by Presidents.  If you check the house and Senate vote you will find a similar thing. An example the mid term of Obama 1st Term. Reb. took control of Congress, yet by votes cast the Dems. had more so should have kept Congress.

Sadly the far right does not understand any of this and that is why they destroy the country, and support Dictator Trump.
