Victor Davis Hanson, once again you have a writer with connections to THE WASHINGTON TIMES, the mouthpiece of THE UNIFICATION CHURCH, better known as THE MOONIE CULT. This cult has ruined families, their homes, and their finances.

Besides Hanson claiming that there is little overt RACISM on the part of WHITES (I guess that is why there are only 19 chapters of the KKK in TEXAS... could have been more), Hanson's views on race have been viewed by many as spectacularly stupid.

Once again, a spurious source used.

Spurious,  of course-it's not MSNBC. You have to love when  the lefties demand facts, then when they are presented they discredit the news source. Any source not saying what is music to their ears is them labeled unreliable, faux news, etc..

Donald Trump v. the Spooks
(first published Jan. 16, 2017)

The clash between plutocratic President-elect Trump and the CIA is shaping up to be the heavyweight prize fight of the century, and Trump at least is approaching it with all the entertaining bombast of Mohammed Ali at the top of his game. Rather than following the tradition of doing dirty political deals in dark corners, more commonly known as fixing the match, Trump has come out swinging in the full glare of the media.

In that corner, we have a deal-making, billionaire “man of the people” who seemed to offer hope to many aggrieved Americans.

In the opposite corner, Trump’s opponents have pushed the CIA into the ring to deliver the knock-out blow, but this has yet to land. Despite jab after jab, Trump keeps evading the blows and comes rattling back against all odds. One has to admire the guy’s footwork.

So, this is a world championship heavy-weight fight over who gets to hold office and wield power.
This match has already gone into the middle rounds with Trump still bouncing around on his toes and still relishing the fight.

The opening paragraph says it all. Poor Nixon would have been fine if that pesky media and the Democrats would have butted out. The rest of it is just a collection of out of control wingnuttery not worth anyone's time unless they live in the conservative bubble.

Right: if you don't already think it, don't listen to it, for those ideas and perspectives that are not already yours are crazy **bleep** horse pucky.

Aye yi yi. No wonder we are where we are, letting the talking heads and string pullers think for us.

The Nixon issue involved a few guys breaking into Dem HQs. The current issue is about using the resources of the DOJ and the intel community to use the FISA system to spy on the opposition using Dem purchased material.

There you go again stating a falsehood as if it were a fact. Just curious......why do you keep doing that after you've been told what the facts are? Anyway, the FISA warrant for Carter Page was issued because of his contacts with Russian agents, not his political affiliation. It started in 2013, long before Trump was in politics, then continued through when Page somehow was hired by Trump (kinda odd how he ended up with Trump isn't it, I wonder why he attracted so many people with ties to Russia?)  Lol.

Well stated. The "opposition party' (as wing nuts call it) were not the ones that decided that the information was deserving of a FISA warrant, the information itself is judged to be worthy or not, regardless of where it comes from.  I also agree on oversight, which is in place. Yes, the trump investigations should be continued and they certainly will.

Wingnuts try to sell so many erroneous perceptions.

How can anyone try to compare the two?

The problem is, he is blaming Nixon and Watergate on the Democrats.  The reason that Nixon finally resigned was that the Republicans cared more about country than party and told him he could either resign or be impeached.

Claiming the FISA warrant should not have been issued because of a report by Nunes (a stooge who doesn't know what his job actually is and who he really works for) is just ridiculous.  Even if the original FISA warrant was granted under suspicious circumstances, why was it renewed?  In order to be renewed, a judge would want to know what information they were obtaining.  Just knowing what Carter Page had for dinner would not cut it.

If you are saying there needs to be continued oversight of the FISA process, I agree.  If you are saying because of this we should stop investigating the President for potentially being involved with a foreign country and placing his personal interests ahead of the United States interests, I do not.

Facts, Jim  Facts  that is the only thing that counts. when you are able to provide facts, then I will discuss those facts with you. Otherwise I consider OPED  garbage
