A valid point. Here we have a situation where the value of physical barriers is under discussion. The President has the responsibility for national security (including border security). He is attempting to find a way to do that in the partisan environment established by the Dems who seem to see that more important.

Bridges to No Where & Memorials to sitting Presidents are not worthwhile

Agreed. What has that to do with this topic?

If Trump decides tomorrow that building a artificial island between Cancun Mexico - Havana Cuba - Miami Florida would help reduce drug smuggling - human trafficking & illegal immigration - and act as deterrent to Russia in staging hypersonic nuclear missles in Cuba

Where do you get this stuff??? BTW - what is the rest of that sentence?

A idea BTW that probably makes more sense than a Wall - should American Tax Payers just automatically be on the hook for the expense without any factual justification - just on Trumps word?

Right Below your Comment - it says - should American Tax Payers just automatically be on the hook for the expense without any factual justification - just on Trumps word?

Aaaah!!! The capital "A" made it look like a new sentence.

As to "Trump's (or "Trumps" if you prefer) word - his word in the instance of physical barriers is a continuation of past actions supported by Dems. I do not recall Dems supporting an artificial island.

I have a Paved Asphalt Driveway it leads from the Public Road that runs by my property to the garage under my house where I park my Truck

Sometimes I drive around the back of my house to hook onto a trailer or to drop of loam or stone for a Landscaping Project

I don't pave every area of land that my truck drives over on my property

I'm not against Pavement - I simply determine the Cost to Benefit of the Decisons I make

My Wife and I drive in and out of our Garages to the public road & back sometimes multiple times per day - so paving the area in between makes sense

Such is the scenario at the US Mexico Border - where there was a demonstrated fact-based need they constructed Walls - where there was No Benefit  - they didn't

I know this is a Difficult Concept to grasp - but there have been one or two smart people in the Whitehouse before Trump and some of them made good decisons and took care of things like where Walls at the Border made sense

Like with my Driveway example - they also determined where Walls were not effective

Interesting - all decisions as to physical barriers were made before Jan. 2017 and the issue never need be considered again, because of something about where you and your wife drive your truck.

No the point is - they NEED to be considered again - they haven't - it's all based upon a Mneumoic developed in 2015

Surely you understand that "the wall" was a mnemonic (or if you prefer "Mneumoic") to remind citizens that it was President Trump who took border security and the rules regarding living in the US seriously. No island building or truck driving involved in that.

WHY?

May it’s simpler than we think...perhaps repubs and their handlers intentionally picked the bottom of the barrel by backing trump, and having russia help.

They set the bar very low, in that if he gets up in the morning and walks, they can declare a great moral and political victory.

Maybe they knew they were picking a low life, a habitual liar with no moral code and having no expertise in running our government for the good of it’s citizens...

they got what they wanted!

For the rest of us that oppose trump, we have higher bars, and moral codes for ourselves and expectations of others...

we won’t touch trump with a 100ft pole!

Why Are Republicans So Supportive of Trump?

Message 33 of 93

If it weren's such a serious issue, the following comment would have me LOL.

"If you're REALLY interested, read some of the posts here. The left has become such liars and hypocrites that they have no credibility left so even if they say something that's true"

Trump Cult members dedicate their lives to supporting a pathological LIAR in the White House who's running a crime syndicate. And they have the nerve to talk about the truth.

Their hero in the White House repeatedly attacks:

  • The FBI
  • The Justice Department
  • The Free Press
  • Our NATO Allies
  • etc.

Comrade Trump thinks the Justice Department is there to serve him instead of the American people.

This site is the perfect example. Here are a couple examples.

"Corrupt - Racist - Mafia Inspired Kelptocracy"

Not true. There is no evidence of that. It's all just name calling and left wing lies.

"he has expanded the Executive Branch of Government to levels never seen before"

Not true. It's all just name calling and left wing lies and in this case just the opposite is happening.

Not long ago a Congressman brought in a black man to support what he was saying about the justice system. The left cheered. But when a Congressman brings in a black woman who works for Trump to support the FACT that he has never exhibited racist behavior, It's racist, it's a prop, it's everything but what it REALLY is. Blatant hypocrisy from the left.

Obama used executive orders to violate the law and the left cheered him on. Trump uses executive orders that are within the law and the left files lawsuits to try to stop it. Blatant hypocrisy.

Obama refused to sign off on funding because he didn't get what he wanted and the government was shutdown and the left went on and on and on about how bad the right was for not giving him what he wanted. Trump refused to sign off on funding because he didn't get what he wanted and the government was shut down and the left went on and on and on about how bad Trump was for not signing off on the funding. Blatant hypocrisy.

So why are Republicans so supportive of Trump? They're not. They're just tired of all the lies and hypocrisy of the left.

But be sure and keep up the good work. It's what is going to get Trump reelected. That and the vast majority of people understand socialism doesn't work and don't want it.

Here is the thing -

First - I'm not a Leftist - I post a 60/40 range of criticism of both major Political ideologies

Second - I am a American Patriot

Third - people like me at least have the courage to post my opinions & support them - unlike others who feel like all they need to do is say - LIE - Not True - Incorrect

Fourth - US Presidential Candidates who are referred to in Court Documents (so far) as unindicted Felony co-conspirator - Individual #1 - have just as much chance of going to Prison as they do winning a second term

When Trump supporters hear Donald say, "Make America Great Again", they are actually hearing, "Make America White Again"

mickstuder:

What do they think Trump is going to provide for them?

Is the Trump Legacy - The Trump Shtick what the Republican Party wants to Stand for in the future

Because History is Certainly going to grant their wish

Corrupt - Racist - Mafia Inspired Kelptocracy

My best guess is they stand with Trump because in him they have found their ideological and moral soulmate.
