In short, they agree with the Democratic Party on these issues, and that bodes well for our collective future. No Billionaires will go hungry, shiver in the cold, remain uneducated or lose everything when a child gets sick AND NEITHER WILL ANYONE ELSE.

You may well be right. The study and recommendations of the Frankfurt School carried out by the political activism of the Progressive Movement have instilled Marxism into the minds of the youth. It is obviously was not an overnight event. But I have always admired their patience and persistence. I remember back in the sixties observing how they were running for the School Board, County Office, all local stuff while the crazy Conservatives were aiming for the "big" offices. The wisdom of their strategy is now being seen.

Updated, a few like Warren and Sanders came out of the closet but it took the brash AOC to really light the fire. Right now, her ideas are impractical but, if you can get emotions fired up, practicality is not needed. Add to that the older people who see themselves as "victims of the system" as a way to deal with their failure, there well could be a package that tilts the scales.

Alferd  wrote-Should the child be forced to suffer because it's parents are the kinds of fools and morons that follow, support, and vote for Putin's choice - trump, and republicans?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It is a proven fact  that Democrats are the ones most likely to  be a burden on society because of fools and morons that have children out of wedlock.Example -71% of  all black children are born to single mothers who parents tend to vote for Democrats  (86% in 2016 election)  Trump,Putin and Republicans has nothing to do with irresponsible Parent`s sex lives.

Sounds like the thinking of the PP founder Sanger (the eugenicist).

The Future must be one in which a woman has control over her own reproductive health. We need a future where there are no unwanted children, and all children are protected from the ravages of poverty, violence and injustice.

You cannot have such a future by forcing women to bare children they do not want into families that cannot support them, which is the Republican Future.

Reject the Republican Future of Feudal Serfdom

Embrace the Democratic Future of Social Justice.

And back to where this roundabout began - two people working, both only qualified for a minimum wage job, are they paid differently or the same?

Well, I guess my question is, what is wrong with having social programs to aide her/him into providing a better life for her/himself?  Programs that will help with housing costs, employment assistance or education assistance until they are now at a tax level where they are no longer in the poverty/extreme low income rate? Just the reverse of the "death tax" that so many wealthy are afraid they will loose if they are taxed at a more fair rate? Why do some feel it is so imperative that we continue paying a society of incarcerations of the new jails for profit? What is wrong with rehabilitation, job skills training and societal aids for those people instead of the continual dumping into that?  Why are we pouring millions upon millions in the killing weapon called bombs and bullets?

We have many such programs - remember the War on Poverty? What new do you propose?

Not everyone is born in the profitable zip code or the silver spoon, does that mean we just ignore those people?  Reflect on why the original settlers came here!

Two thoughts - 1) what do you think the class envy comment adds?; 2) the settlers had no welfare programs.

Republicans assert that because they have eliminated access to reproductive health services it's the woman's fault if she becomes pregnant without any desire or interest in having another child. Because it's her fault, she must, in the fetid mind of the Republicans, bare the child and the economic consequences.

What access has been eliminated?

They do this because we stopped them sewing a big red "A" on the clothing of poor women who have sex.

I have seen no suggestion about an "A".

Time for them to exit the 16th century and enter the 21st. We can help with their journey forward by getting them out of elected office. Its for their own good.

The Rs were not in office in the 16th century.

Now that all the nonsense has been dealt with - what is your solution for the problems encountered by such children. As I recall suggesting reading is considered racist by some so don't go there.
