The Republicans always described the Dems as wimps. But in reality, they are indeed living their lives in a state of FEAR.

It also makes the vassels of the GOPerLords immune to criticism from within while Democrats behave like factoryfarm chickens when one spots a miniscule flaw on another and the flock pecks the impure one to death. (ibid Al Franlen and Hillary)

Hmm....so WHAT faith is that they follow?

Good article that is spot on. I think the Republican Party gets away with nonstop fearmongering because they have a base that doesn't care if they can't come up with solutions. Perhaps if the base threatened to quit voting for them unless they solve some problems they would do more than wring their hands and moan.

First, can Congress members be impeached?  If so, perhaps it is time to do investigations on not just one impeachment but further?! Obstruction of justice, imo, is members of Congress not bringing up bills to hold the country in a state where progress can not be brought forth because of partisism?

Right you are, William......BUT......it's been the basis for GOP strategy for many years....remember Michael Dukakas and the BS surrounding Willy Horton?  How about the divisive racist lies told by the Bush GOP campaign about John McCain and his black "love child"????  It's endless...

Dems both the Party, as well as the ones running for President need to call out the Trump Party at every opportunity in my opinion, as the party of do nothing and blockade party.

Glad to see your post! Although I can't say that I totally agree with all of it because I am supporting the "DEMOCRATIC socialist" Sanders, it sure does speak of the demagoguery we see playing out.  Just got to appreciate the lowest level of fear mongering when they convinced many that they were murders, rapists and such as we just seen how a white American male went and slaughtered there good honest people contributing to our economic system?!

This type of society is making a lot of people loose all hope that we can be a civil people. Thank God for all the new order on line and just pick up or have it delivered because too many of US are tired of having to continually think about where entrances are....is it really worth going into the establishment???

Thank you "REALChristian"!  We can tell by your fruit.  Smiley Wink

But I'm interested in what you disagreed with......what was that?

The part where "we must fear the coming scourge of socialism". Perhaps I am reading it wrong?

Do you disagree that it's a fear trump/Republicans are pushing?  Do you think it's a reasonsable fear?  Or is it a non-sense fear, or none of the above?

I believe it is just fear mongering....both parties are actually contributing to the "socialist" fear.  What it really appears to be is,we may have far too many fearful of a just and equal society, imo. Do they tell children growing up....wait, no, you can not strive for that, it's above your level? Do they tell people who work in the corporate world...wait, no, do not work to the goal of ever achieving a level of equality to your superiors? Again, like many have already mentioned in this thread, it is all about control and power. I also believe Olderscout and williamb has hit a lot of the very under belly of the hatred monster of white supremacy (Oh no, what if the people we bought and sold out of slavery ever had the upper hand??).
